So, I realized that I hadn't posted about a number of projects completed in the fall. I covered and repainted a few chairs and made wooden treatments for the windows. I don't know if they count as cornices or not. Essentially, I went to Home Depot and chose two wooden trim pieces that I liked. I then had them cut them to my specifications. I stained and polyurethaned the wood. I used L hooks to affix them to the inside of the windows. All done. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated and I made one cut mistake (so one window I intended to do was not done.) This might be remedied by watching for wood and trim to go on sale or looking at other hardware places.
